Nexus Multi Academy Trust (“Nexus” or “the Authority”) is seeking to establish an Open Framework for the provision of ICT products, services and solutions to the education sector. The Framework is intended to provide Nexus and other eligible Contracting Authorities with a compliant and accessible route to market for the procurement of ICT requirements. The Framework is divided into three Lots: Lot 1 – ICT Support Services and Managed Services Lot 2 – Professional Services Lot 3 – Hardware Suppliers may tender for one, multiple or all Lots. There will be no limit on the number of Suppliers that may be appointed to each Lot. The Framework will operate as an Open Framework in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023 and is intended to be reopened periodically to allow new Suppliers to apply for appointment. The maximum duration of the Open Framework will be eight years. The estimated maximum value of the Framework is £1,000,000,000 excluding VAT over its maximum term. This represents estimated potential expenditure through the Framework and does not constitute a guarantee of expenditure, minimum spend, volume of business or exclusivity. The Framework will be established and operated by Nexus Multi Academy Trust and will be available for use by eligible Contracting Authorities in respect of publicly funded schools and colleges.
This Lot covers the provision of managed ICT services and associated support solutions to educational establishments. Services may include the management, maintenance, monitoring and support of ICT infrastructure, networks, cloud environments, software applications, end user devices, and associated technology services. The scope of this Lot includes, but is not limited to, remote and on-site ICT support, service desk provision, cyber security services, safeguarding technologies, connectivity solutions, backup and disaster recovery, MIS support, infrastructure management, ICT consultancy, training and strategic ICT planning. The Lot is intended to provide Customers with access to Suppliers capable of delivering the full range of end-to-end requirements across both operational ICT support and strategic technology services, enabling organisations to maintain secure, reliable and effective technology environments that support teaching, learning and organisational performance. This Lot covers the provision of specialist ICT related professional services, consultancy, technical expertise and project delivery support to educational establishments. Services may include the planning, design, implementation, migration, optimisation and review of technology solutions, systems, services, and digital transformation programmes. The scope of this Lot includes, but is not limited to, ICT consultancy, digital transformation support, technical design services, solution architecture, project and programme management, business analysis, cyber security consultancy, cloud strategy, systems integration, data migration, change management, adoption services, training, Procurement support, independent technical advisory services, audit, due diligence, and post-implementation review activities. Suppliers may provide strategic advice, technical expertise and delivery support throughout the lifecycle of a project, from initial requirements gathering and options appraisal through to implementation, user adoption and benefits realisation. Services may be delivered on a project specific, interim or advisory basis depending on the requirements of a Customer. The Lot is intended to provide Customers with access to specialist expertise and delivery capability to support technology-enabled change, improve organisational performance, manage risk and maximise the value of technology investments. This Lot covers the supply, installation, configuration, and associated services relating to ICT hardware and technology equipment for educational establishments. The Lot is designed to provide access to a broad range of hardware solutions that support teaching, learning, administration, communication, and organisational operations. The scope of this Lot includes, but is not limited to, end-user devices, servers, network equipment, storage solutions, audio visual equipment, classroom technology, peripherals and accessories. Suppliers may also provide associated services including installation, configuration, imaging, deployment, asset tagging, asset management, warranty support and technology refresh services. Suppliers may support the full lifecycle of hardware provision, from specification and supply through to installation, deployment, ongoing support and replacement planning. Services may be delivered as individual purchases, project-based deployments or wider technology refresh programmes depending on the requirements of a Customer. The Lot is intended to provide Customers with access to Suppliers capable of delivering reliable, cost-effective and scalable hardware solutions that support educational outcomes, operational efficiency and long-term technology strategies.
