Description

Severn Trent intends to go out to tender for its Groundworks, Trenchless Installation and Ancillary Civil Engineering Services requirements for Mains Renewal, with the aim of establishing an in-house framework as a long-term solution for the remainder of AMP8. It is anticipated that Severn Trent will act as both Principal Designer and Principal Contractor under this arrangement. Works will be planned, scheduled, and instructed by Severn Trent, with excavation pits prepared on site by Severn Trent teams. Contractors will work collaboratively alongside Severn Trent personnel. The majority of works will involve the installation of pipes ranging from 63mm to 250mm in diameter. This notice is to invite engagement from suppliers who may be interested in submitting a tender response for a closed framework agreement covering the following; • Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) • Mole Ploughing • Rock drilling • Slurry tankers • Trenching • Rock Wheel • Planing • Vacuum Excavation The requirements below initially will be to support Severn Trent's AMP 8 period and Mains Renewal programme, however there may be wider opportunities within Severn Trent's organisation in the future. This procurement description is for information only and some details may be amended/changed in the future following the preliminary market engagement and development of the sourcing strategy. Any future Tender Notice published in connection to this Pre Market Engagement is optional. This Preliminary Market Engagement Notice is optional, and does not contribute to the procurement process.
