Supplier Engagement Event for Out of Hours General Medical Services for Powys Teaching Health Board

Description

Powys Teaching Health Board intends to undertake a competitive procurement process in early 2027 for the delivery of Out of Hours General Medical Services and medical cover for community hospitals across Powys. The procurement will provide interested suppliers with the opportunity to bid for the provision of these services under a new contractual arrangement, with commencement target date of 1st October 2027. The Health Board is seeking a provider capable of delivering safe, high quality, sustainable and patient-centred services that meet the needs of the Powys population and support wider urgent and unscheduled care pathways. The procurement process will offer a transparent and equitable opportunity for suitably qualified providers to participate. Further information, including the service specification, procurement timetable and tender requirements, will be issued as part of the formal procurement process, and a Supplier Engagement Event will be held via Teams on 20th October 2026.
