Cherry Tree Allotments Expansion

Watford Borough Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified contractors for the expansion of an established allotment site located at Berry Avenue, Watford through the development of an adjacent plot of land. The land to be developed lies to the immediate east of the established Cherry Tree Allotments and extends to approximately 3500 m2. Historically the land formed part of the allotment gardens. Following change of use of the adjacent commercial building to residential use, the commercial unit car park plot was returned to Watford Borough Council and will be reinstated to its former use as allotments. The new allotment space is to be created in a partnership between Watford Borough Council and Cherry Tree Allotment and Garden Association (CTAGA) who managed and operated the present allotment site. CTAGA will also be responsible for the proposed new development.
