To provide full Traffic Management, Traffic Control, and the hire of Traffic Light systems. The Contractor must adhere to and fully comply with the following: • New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 • Traffic Management Act 2004 • Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 8 • Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice (COP) as amended • Permit schemes (especially conditions relating to traffic management) Highway Authority and Utilities Committee (HAUC) Advice Notes as applicable • ARTSM (Association for Road Traffic Safety and Management) Edition 1.1 The Contractor must be able to support all specified geographical areas of National Grid UK with sufficient resources to provide Plant, Product and Design & Services to enable safe working for all road traffic scenarios. The Contractor must provide a 24-hour 365-day service, with the ability to respond and be on-site within 2 hours of receipt of notification from NGED / NGET.
