In the previous Preliminary market engagement notice published by WM Trains Ltd. on 23rd July 2026 it stated that the engagement deadline was 12th August 2026 for any suppliers interested in this forthcoming procurement, it set out the participation arrangements and advised how to express interest. This was incorrect and should have outlined that engagement had already been undertaken in November 2025 and should have set out the nature of that engagement and the outcomes. This has now been addressed and further information is now included in this updated Preliminary market engagement notice so that suppliers are aware of the background. In terms of next steps, WM Trains Ltd. is planning on publishing a Tender Notice in early September 2026 seeking formal expressions of interest and giving details of how to register to attend the supplier day for this procurement shortly afterwards in Birmingham.
