A Direct Award against the YPO 1204 - Uniform & Workwear Including Station, Corporate and Workshop Wear Plus Optional Managed Service Framework, using Lot 3 to purchase particle blocking hoods to reduce firefighter exposure to harmful fireground contaminants. The current PPE provides limited protection around the head and neck area. Firefighter health research has demonstrated that the neck and jawline represent significant absorption pathways for toxic contaminants, contributing to increased long term cancer risk.
