This is a UK13 Dynamic Market Notice for establishment of a Dynamic Market (DM) to procure Direct Production timber harvesting operations via thinning and clear-felling. The purpose of the requirement is to ensure that Natural Resources Wales meets its statutory duties and provides a timber harvesting service for the whole of Wales. NRW require direct labour services to provide expert felling, processing and extraction of timber to roadside to support current and future Timber Sales and Marketing Plans across the Welsh Government Woodland Estate. Key harvesting services sought include both mechanised and motor manual felling as well as the deployment of winch machinery to deliver steep-ground working without viable mechanised access. Other services required include but are not limited to; alternative harvesting machinery such as tree shear and grapple saws and the delivery of mechanised vegetation clearance, to respond to Statutory Plant Health Notices for example in response to outbreaks of Phytophthora Ramorum, on unmerchantable stands.
