This serves notice as a Contract Award Notice following the completion of standstill with no representation to the award. Date of contract award: 26th June 2026 The contract has been awarded for the period 01/04/2026 - 31/03/2029 with no provision for extension included. This contract has now been formally awarded using direct award process C. No conflicts or potential conflicts of interest of individuals making the decision were identified. This procurement has been carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners. NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Gloucestershire ICB are currently working together in a formal "clustering" arrangement to prepare for their merger into a single, new organisation (name to be confirmed), effective from 1st April 2027.
The Sanctuary is an out‑of‑hours mental health service based at Gloucester House, Southmead Hospital, providing a safe and supportive space for people aged 16 and over experiencing serious emotional distress; it operates Thursday to Monday from 5pm to midnight and offers face‑to‑face support from 6pm, giving individuals the opportunity for 1:1 sessions, quiet space, activities, and light refreshments, with staff also able to signpost to other services and attend professional meetings when invited; service users can receive three pre‑booked preventative support sessions, and the service supports people across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
