Essex County Council intends to launch The Families First Neighbourhood Grants Programme (FFNGP) subject to completion of internal governance. Applications will be invited from voluntary and community sector organisations to deliver neighbourhood based targeted early intervention support for children, young people and families. The support will enable children and families to address challenges early, build resilience and achieve positive, sustainable outcomes. Organisations applying must clearly demonstrate how their project/programme will contribute to one or more of the following outcomes: • Safety, stability and consistent home routines. Children, young people and adults create predictable structure and provide physically and emotionally safe care. • Increased parental capacity. Parents and carers understand children's developmental needs, respond sensitively, and manage stress more effectively. • Children, young people and parents and carers develop and enjoy healthy, respectful and emotionally secure relationships. Children, young people and adults can communicate constructively, manage conflict without harm, and experience emotional safety. • Stronger community connection. Children, young people and adults feel less isolated, more supported and more able to engage in local activities and social networks. • Improved emotional wellbeing and resilience. Children, young people and parents and carers develop positive coping skills, confidence and emotional regulation. • Reduced escalation to statutory or specialist services. Earlier help will reduce re-referrals, crises and safeguarding concerns. For further information, please contact: [email protected]
