YMCA London City and North (YLCAN) is seeking to appoint an Interior Design practice to develop coordinated interior design proposals to RIBA Stage 3+ for the redevelopment of its supported accommodation scheme at Crouch End, London. The development will deliver approximately 174 bedspaces within a co-living model, including shared kitchens and lounges, communal areas, staff facilities, and support spaces. Scope of services will include (but not be limited to): • Development of interior design to RIBA Stage 3+ level • Coordination with architect and multidisciplinary design team • Preparation of room data sheets, finishes schedules and FF&E specifications • Joinery design and technical detailing • Wayfinding and signage strategy • Contribution to tender documentation for a Design & Build procurement route • Integration of inclusive, sustainable and psychologically-informed design principles suitable for supported housing The design must support the creation of safe, inclusive, aspirational and durable environments for young people experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Minimum Participation Requirements: Bidders will be required, as part of the tender submission, to demonstrate: • Experience in a minimum of two comparable projects (supported housing, co-living or student accommodation) • Experience working with public sector, local authority, or third sector clients • Proven capability to deliver coordinated RIBA Stage 3+ design packages • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary design team environment Failure to provide satisfactory evidence of the above may result in the submission being deemed non-compliant and excluded from further evaluation. The Contract Notice will allow a minimum of 30 days for tender submissions.
