| Call-off method: | Both: direct call-off and mini-competition |
| Period rationale: | LHCPG does not currently intend to extend the Framework Agreement. However, the option to extend by up to 12 months has been included to provide flexibility where necessary to ensure continuity of supply, support transition to a replacement arrangement, or manage unforeseen procurement, mobilisation or market-related circumstances. |
This framework is intended for organisations with their own manufacturing capability and is not open to installation contractors or distributors without manufacturing facilities. The Windows, Doors and Associated Works (WD3) Framework covers the manufacture, supply, installation, maintenance, repair and associated works relating to a wide range of window, door and glazing systems across public sector residential, commercial, educational and mixed-use buildings. The framework is intended to support both planned and responsive projects and may include replacement, refurbishment, remediation, compliance and maintenance activities together with associated components and ancillary works. This includes, but is not limited to, entrance doors, communal doors, screens, glazing systems, curtain walling, access control integration, hardware, framing, making-good works and specialist security or fire-rated products where required. The framework may also support surveys, inspections, planned preventative maintenance, emergency repairs and investigative works associated with existing installations. The framework is designed to support a broad range of publicly funded building types, including housing, schools, universities, healthcare facilities, municipal buildings, offices, care environments and other public sector premises across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. All works undertaken under the framework are expected to comply with applicable building regulations, safety legislation, environmental requirements and recognised industry standards relevant to the geographical area and project type at the point of call-off. The framework also places emphasis on quality assurance, competency, sustainability, product conformity, compliance with the Building Safety Act and the delivery of safe, durable and legislatively compliant installations throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Lot 1 covers the manufacture, supply, installation, maintenance and associated works relating to PVC-U window and door systems for use across a wide range of public sector residential, commercial, educational and mixed-use buildings. The lot is intended to support both replacement and new installation projects and may include associated components such as glazing, ironmongery, entrance doors, communal doors, access control integration, trims, cills, framing and making-good works where required. Products supplied under this lot are expected to provide durable, low-maintenance and thermally efficient solutions suitable for both domestic and non-domestic applications. The scope of this lot may also include responsive repairs, planned maintenance, remediation and compliance-related works to existing installations. Suppliers appointed to this lot shall ensure that all products and installation activities comply with current building regulations, safety legislation, security requirements and relevant British and European Standards applicable at the point of call-off.
Lot 2 covers the manufacture, supply, installation, maintenance and associated works relating to timber window and door systems. This lot is intended to support projects where traditional aesthetics, heritage considerations, conservation requirements or specific architectural finishes are required, whilst maintaining compliance with current performance, safety and environmental standards. The lot may include external and selected internal applications across residential, commercial, educational and public buildings. Works under this lot may include replacement, refurbishment, remediation and maintenance activities together with associated joinery, glazing, access control integration and making-good works. Suppliers appointed to this lot shall ensure that timber products are responsibly sourced and compliant with all relevant legislation, standards and environmental requirements, including those relating to sustainability, durability and fire, thermal and security performance.
Lot 3 covers the manufacture, supply, installation, maintenance and associated works relating to aluminium window and door systems suitable for public sector residential and non-residential buildings. This lot is intended to support projects requiring durable, modern and high-performance fenestration systems capable of meeting demanding operational, thermal, acoustic and security requirements. Applications may include schools, healthcare facilities, offices, communal residential buildings and other publicly funded premises. The scope of this lot may also include curtain walling, screens, entrance systems, access control integration, specialist glazing applications and associated making-good works where required. Appointed suppliers shall ensure that all systems and installations comply with applicable legislative requirements, building regulations and recognised industry standards relevant to the geographical area and project type at the point of call-off.
Lot 4 covers the manufacture, supply, installation, maintenance and associated works relating to aluminium-clad timber window and door systems. This lot is intended to combine the internal appearance and thermal characteristics of timber with the external durability and reduced maintenance benefits of aluminium cladding. The lot is suitable for projects requiring enhanced aesthetic performance together with long-term durability across residential, educational, commercial and public sector buildings. Works may include replacement, refurbishment, remediation and maintenance activities together with associated glazing, hardware, access systems and making-good works. Suppliers appointed to this lot shall ensure products achieve compliance with all applicable standards relating to structural performance, weather resistance, thermal efficiency, fire safety, sustainability and security requirements applicable at the point of project delivery.
Lot 5 covers the manufacture, supply, installation, maintenance and associated works relating to steel and stainless-steel window and door systems. This lot is intended to support projects requiring enhanced durability, strength, security or specialist performance characteristics, including applications within higher-risk buildings, secure environments, heritage settings and other public sector facilities where robust systems may be required. The scope of this lot may include specialist security doors, communal entrance systems, screens, glazed assemblies, fire-rated systems and associated access control integration together with ancillary making-good works. Suppliers appointed to this lot shall ensure all products and installation activities comply with relevant building regulations, fire and security standards, product certification requirements and applicable legislative obligations in force at the point of call-off.
