| Buyer: | Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales |
| Main Category: | — |
| Procurement Method: | Direct award |
| Method Rationale: | hree of the four Welsh police forces-South Wales, North Wales, and Gwent-currently outsource the delivery of National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) courses to an external provider, TTC, which was appointed following an open procurement exercise completed in 2020. The forces are jointly developing an options appraisal to consider the future delivery model for NDORS provision in Wales. An interim extension to the existing contractual arrangements is required to enable completion of this review and to allow sufficient time for the conduct of a full, open tender process for any future service provision. There is a statutory requirement for members of the public to be able to book and attend NDORS courses. The proposed extension will therefore ensure continuity of service and ongoing availability for course participants throughout the review period, mitigating the risk of service disruption and maintaining compliance with statutory obligations. |
