Permitted direct award of a all-off Contract under the Defra Nuclear Power Regulatory Justification Services Framework. As the Justifying Authority, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has responsibility for overseeing applications for new nuclear power classes or types of practice (CTP) as set out in the Justification of Practices Involving Ionising Radiation Regulations (the Regulations). Defra requires external nuclear energy consultancy expertise to support its justification assessment to determine whether the CTP described in a new Application is justified as a new CTP and has procured the services of a suitably experienced and qualified contractor through the Defra Nuclear Power Regulatory Justification Services Framework.
