Providers will be expected to deliver a safe and effective service in line with the specification, while working with Commissioners to support ongoing evaluation, learning, and refinement.<br/><br/>At a high level, the service will:<br/><br/>* operate as a multi-disciplinary clinical service model<br/><br/>* deliver assessment, prescribing, and ongoing medical management<br/><br/>* integrate with wider risk management and rehabilitative services<br/><br/>* support continuity of care across custody and (where appropriate) into the community<br/><br/>The service is due to commence in March 2027 or sooner if possible.<br/><br/>The initial contract period is 2 years with Commissioners having the option to extend for up to a further 2 years.<br/><br/>The successful Provider(s) in respect of each Lot is expected to be fully operational, providing services from November/December 2026.
