The contract was awarded under the ProcurePublic Framework Agreement for DPS Supporting Construction Works. Services Include: RIBA Stage 3 - Developed Design (Architectural Services) The Architect shall develop the approved Stage 2 design into a coordinated Stage 3 Developed Design. Services shall include refining layouts, dimensions, and key design details, coordinating the architectural design with structural, building services, and other consultants, and resolving interfaces between disciplines. The Architect shall prepare drawings and information sufficient for design coordination, cost planning, and progression to the technical design stage. Principal Designer (CDM 2015) The Consultant shall act as Principal Designer in accordance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Duties shall include planning, managing, and monitoring the pre-construction phase, identifying and eliminating or reducing foreseeable health and safety risks through design, and ensuring that relevant design risk information is communicated to designers and contractors prior to construction. Building Regulations - Design Stage The Architect shall prepare and issue drawings and supporting information to demonstrate compliance with the applicable Building Regulations. This shall include coordination with specialist consultants, submission of design-stage information to Building Control, and responding to reasonable queries and comments raised in support of achieving design-stage approval.
