Sizewell C (SZC) requires a fully operational onsite Fire & Rescue Service (FRS) to meet NSL Licence Condition 11. According to the current Site Fire Risk Assessment owned by SZC Health & Safety, the firefighting capability (full provision) must be fully implemented and operational by end of Q2 2028. The onsite Fire & Rescue Service must be capable of delivering a continuous, compliant emergency response for construction-related risks. The service must ensure effective incident command, maintain operational readiness, and deliver appropriate firefighting and technical rescue capabilities (including complex rescue scenarios). It should demonstrate alignment with relevant regulatory expectations, support coordinated multi-agency response where required, and provide assurance that personnel, equipment, and systems are fit for purpose.
