Estates Rectification Works

Description

Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust has jointly commissioned with its PFI provider a series of surveys covering the compliance of Darent Valley Hospital with its PFI contract. These have highlighted in excess of 40,000 issues requiring rectification. The breadth of issues found require large scale remediation of the hospital and include cladding, ventilation, lighting, acoustics as well as fabric issues. In particular the quantum of fire safety issues found has also led to the fire and rescue authority issuing an enforcement notice on the PFI provider requiring remediation of faults by 2027.
