A fully comprehensive service contract is required for the Neptune Waste Management Suction Units, which are used throughout Theatres at Glangwili General Hospital and Prince Philip Hospital in Hywel Dda University Health Board. All high-risk medical equipment must be on a maintenance regime in order to ensure patient safety and statutory requirements are satisfied. In addition, should the equipment fail in use, this level of contract will ensure it is returned to service at the earliest time. Stryker UK LTD are the only supplier in the market with access to original manufacturer parts and specialist engineers. To ensure user and patient safety, the waste management system must be maintained accurately, and utilising the OEM provides this. Therefore, a direct award to Stryker UK LTD is the most appropriate route.
