Ash Manor School is a mainstream secondary school located in a residential area in Ash Surrey. Surrey County Council is to formally expand Ash Manor to formalise the school as 10FE Secondary 1500no. pupils). Additional accommodation is proposed to closer align the school with BB103 recommendations and provide sufficient space for the proposed pupil number. HBS have assessed existing site and building areas with reference to Building Bulletin 103 recommendations to identify the key deficiencies of the school when compared to BB103. The proposed schemes have been developed to address the key, headline deficiencies and/or differences between the existing school and BB103 recommendations for an 10FE school. The proposed scheme closer aligns the school with BB103 guidelines through a combination of extension, internal alterations and refurbishment. New Classroom wing extension to the west. New Dining hall extension to the north. It is not proposed to make any amendments to access arrangements with regards to vehicle or bicycle parking, staff access, collection of refuse, servicing deliveries or access for emergency vehicles as part of the redevelopment The council is seeking a single appointed main contractor to carry out the works in accordance with the detailed design and planning approvals. The anticipated contract period is 12 months for all phases.
