Awarded under ESPO Framework 3S-22 Strategic HR Services, Lot 1c - Commercial (Finance, Procurement & Legal) to a single Service Provider. As Interim Senior Associate (Corporate Finance), Major Projects: Support the Project Lead on SESRO, Fens and Lincs on all aspects of each reservoir project - the project portfolio may change. Key Deliverables: 1. Support the review of the Major Project submissions from water companies for example asking for Ofwat's approval to start the procurement process for construction and/or financing of a scheme. 2. Support the analysis of specific project delivery risks and issues alongside technical and legal advisors and evaluate options for way forward. 3. Act as deputy project lead when required, including leading meetings and representing Ofwat in discussions. 4. Triangulate information between advisors and project teams, preparing clear query lists and structured responses, as needed. 5. Draft high-quality first versions of board papers, presentations, and policy documents. 6. Take comprehensive meeting notes and maintain accurate records for governance and assurance. 7. Conduct high level research or verify information to inform decision-making. 8. Coordinate stakeholder engagement, ensuring timely follow-up on actions and queries. 9. Assist in identifying and monitoring project risks, issues, and compliance milestones. 10. Prepare concise financial and progress reports for internal purposes, including scenario and sensitivity analyses, if needed, e.g. for big meetings or quarterly dashboards. 11. Organise project documentation for continuity and knowledge management. E.g. by always saving documents received in the correct folders.
