NGED are awarding utility arboriculture Contractors to manage the vegetation in proximity to the Network on its behalf.
• Inspection of the vegetation surrounding the NGED network and analysis of all available vegetation data in order to identify vegetation which is breaching or has the potential to breach safety clearances • Additionally, any vegetation (including dead, dying or diseased) that within the 4-year cycle may pose a grow-in, fall-in and / or fire risk shall be identified, recorded and actioned accordingly. • Communication and liaison with the grantor to gain the required consent to successfully manage all of the vegetation identified • The physical application of the vegetation management programme to ensure compliance with all of the requirements • Independent auditing of the vegetation management programme to ensure safe working practices and compliance with this specification along with all other associated instructions and policies.
