5482 - Graig-y-Rhacca Community Centre - Roof Renewal

Description

You are invited to submit a tender for the renewal of flat roofing coverings, external cladding with new insulated cladding and roof strengthening works at Graig y Rhacca Community Centre. The scope of the project is fully described in Appendix 1 but in summary the scope is: • Replace complete flat roof coverings on lower and upper roof (2 number roofs) as per attached Bauder specification. • Allow for the removal and safe storage of all electrical services, CCTV-signage etc., and refit upon completion of the works. • Allow for raising in height the existing plant equipment to accommodate new roof covering by using the original manufacturer/installer of the equipment. • Replace all existing metal cladding to the entire building with new Kingspan QuadCore KS1000RW Wall Panels with 100mm of insulation including new vapour control layer and all trims, cappings, angles, flashings etc., installed as per manufacturers instructions, colour to be chosen by client. • Carry out roof strengthening works in accordance with attached structural engineers specifications including the installation of a new fall arrest guard rail. • Provide and install new rail system to be built into the new roof covering to support new PV panels provide by the centres sub-contractor, allow for all necessary communications and support with his sub-contractor. • Allow for the safe removal and isolation of existing solar panels and disposal if necessary. • Provide all necessary fixed scaffolding with stair access, allow the use of this scaffolding by the Community Centre’s PV Contractor. Do not block any entrance or emergency exits and make sure these areas are netted and protected for safe egress/entering by the users of the building. • Provide Heras fencing around bases of all fixed scaffolding to prevent unauthorised access. • Remove and dispose of Asbestos as specified. • All works must be carried out and be completed between 16th March and 15th May 2026. • Graig y Rhacca Community Centre will be arranging the installation of the new PV panels and you must allow access to the roof via your scaffolding to allow these works to be carried out. • Provide all necessary electrical certificates for all works carried out on the electric at this premises.
