The Electricity Distribution 3 (ED3) Cost Assessment team is currently in the process of delivering the Sector Specific Methodology Decision (SSMD) to be published in May 2026. This will set out Ofgem's methodology for assessing ED3 costs proposed by Distribution Network Operators (DNOs). Ofgem requires the support of a supplier to provide expert input drawing upon their extensive experience of working on cost assessment in previous price controls, including ED2. This will be particularly valuable to inform the business plan guidance, cost benefit analysis, business plan data templates and strategic input to the development of modelling approaches. In addition to the above, the ED team require support from a supplier on the following other areas: * ED2 Load Related Expenditure (LRE) volume drivers * ED3 depreciation policy
