The City of York Council (CYC) wishes to commission the development and delivery of domestic abuse training courses for key professionals working for City of York Council. Objectives include: • To improve professionals' understanding of, and ability to spot signs of, domestic abuse • To ensure professionals can effectively risk assess and safeguard victims • To improve professionals' confidence and professional practice in responding to victims of domestic abuse The key outcomes the provider should achieve are • Improved skills in recognising and responding to domestic abuse by key specified professionals within the CYC workforce . • Improved confidence and self-esteem in responding to domestic abuse • Improved accuracy in risk assessing and safeguarding victims of domestic abuse
