The Authority is seeking a reliable, multi-tiered taxi and private hire provision to support the 24/7 movement of patients, staff, and medical items (including medical records and pathology specimens) across five primary hospital sites. This contract utilises a Cascade Model to ensure 100% fulfilment and incorporates a significant Social Value element regarding maternity transport. The Authority anticipates a multi-provider award to ensure geographic resilience. Geographical Scope of Sites The Provider must provide comprehensive coverage to, from, and between the following locations: Kent and Canterbury Hospital (KCH): Ethelbert Road, Canterbury, CT1 3NG William Harvey Hospital (WHH): Kennington Road, Ashford, TN24 0LZ Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother Hospital (QEQM): College Road, Margate, CT9 4AN Buckland Hospital (BHD): Coombe Valley Road, Dover, CT17 0HD Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH): Radnor Park Avenue, Folkestone, CT19 5BN The following services required but not limited to: Patient Journeys Non-emergency transport for eligible patients and service users. Staff Journeys Business-critical travel, inter-site meetings, and out-of-hours shifts. Movement of Goods Urgent transport of medical records, pathology specimens, and bloods. Driver & Vehicle Standards All drivers must be DBS-cleared and trained in handling sensitive medical goods (e.g., specimens). Vehicles must be maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, reflecting the healthcare environment.
