Quality - Pass/Fail Price - 100% Up to two suppliers may be awarded a contract against each lot. The highest scoring supplier shall be named as the Primary Supplier, and will be the first supplier requested to supply the required goods/services. The Secondary Supplier will only be approached in the event that the Primary Supplier is unable to supply.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service have an ongoing requirement for the supply, delivery, collection and disposal of depolluted end of life vehicles. These vehicles are used by our Firefighters for training purposes across the geographical area of Devon and Somerset. The vehicles supplied are required to simulate a roadworthy condition. Due to the nature of the training and equipment used by our Firefighters, the vehicles will be subject to disassembly, with roofs, windscreens, glass and doors removed. Current arrangements expire on 31st March 2026. This notice is to invite suppliers to bid for the new contracts commencing on 1st April 2026. The lot structure and indicative annual volumes per lot, is as follows: • Lot 1 - Barnstaple Area - 40 vehicles • Lot 2 - Exeter Area - 100 vehicles • Lot 3 - Plymouth Area - 45 vehicles • Lot 4 - Taunton Area - 65 vehicles • Lot 5 - Torquay Area - 45 vehicles • Lot 6 - Yeovil Area - 50 vehicles Suppliers are able to bid for one or more lots. The contracts will have an initial period of two years, with the option to extend by a further 12 months (three year maximum term).
The Barnstaple Area includes the following Fire Stations: Barnstaple, Ilfracombe, Appledore, Bideford, Braunton, Chulmleigh, Combe Martin, Hartland, Hatherleigh, Holsworthy, Lynton, South Molton, Torrington and Woolacombe.

The Exeter Area includes the following Fire Stations and training sites: North Tawton, Okehampton, Exeter Danes Castle, Exmouth, Axminster, Colyton, Crediton, Cullompton, Honiton, Ottery St Mary, Seaton, Sidmouth, Clyst St George, Witheridge, Exeter Airport and Exeter Middlemoor.

The Taunton Area includes the following Fire Stations: Bampton, Tiverton, Taunton, Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, Dulverton, Minehead, Nether Stowey, Porlock, Wellington, Williton, Wiveliscombe and Cheddar.
