The Authority requires the appointment of an Independent Visitor in respect of Bolton Looked After Children, and where it is assessed by social care that it would be in the child or young person's ("the Child") best interest to do so.\r \r The provision of the Service for Looked After Children will be considered in accordance with the needs of the Child and the process will be influenced and led by the Child's needs. All children in care have the right to an Independent Visitor. All referrals will be considered by a Social Worker as part of the development of the care plan for the Child or as part of a review of the Child's case.
