The University’s existing CCTV storage and video management infrastructure has reached the end of its operational life, resulting in increasing maintenance requirements and constraints in meeting current security, performance, and compliance standards. A replacement solution is required to ensure continued reliability, improved security capability, and alignment with modern technological expectations. The project will deliver a replacement CCTV storage and management solution, including: •Storage Infrastructure: Implementation of a modern, scalable appliance-based and/or hybrid storage platform capable of supporting high-throughput video recording and retrieval. •Recording Management System: Deployment of an up-to-date video management system with advanced analytics and integration capability with existing security infrastructure. •Operator Software: Provision of an intuitive, feature-rich interface to enhance monitoring efficiency and situational awareness. •Integrations: Compatibility with relevant University platforms and third-party systems (e.g., telephony solutions, authentication services). •Decommissioning: Managed decommissioning of the legacy system following a minimum 30-day parallel run of the new and existing environments.
