This framework covers both reactive and planned maintenance services for drainage, flooring, and electrical systems across Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Somerset Council sites. Contractors will deliver emergency call-outs, routine repairs, and scheduled works in compliance with the specification. The framework will be split into the following three lots: - Lot 1 - Planned and Reactive Drainage Works - Lot 2 - Planned and Reactive Flooring Works - Lot 3 - Planned and Reactive Electrical Works The maximum total value of this framework is £10,000,000 excluding VAT. This figure is not an estimate of anticipated spend; it has been intentionally set at a higher level to ensure sufficient capacity for all potential call-off contracts over the full maximum framework term of eight years.
Contractors must be capable of delivering a full range of reactive drainage services, including emergency unblocking of internal and external drainage systems using mechanical and high-pressure water jetting methods. Planned drainage works will include the development and implementation of annual maintenance schedules tailored to the specific needs of each site. This will include routine jetting, desilting and inspection of drainage assets.
Contractors must be able to respond promptly to flooring-related hazards, including the repair of trip hazards, lifting or damaged floor coverings and water-damaged areas. Planned flooring works will include the full strip-out and replacement of existing floor coverings, including the preparation of subfloors using latex screeds, damp-proof membranes (DPMs) and levelling compounds.
Contractors must provide a comprehensive reactive electrical service, including fault finding and repair of lighting and power circuits, emergency lighting failures and fire alarm resets. Planned electrical works will include the completion of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in accordance with BS 7671 or equivalent, with clear coding of defects and prioritised recommendations.
