Marketing Manchester (MM), part of the Growth Company (GC), is looking to appoint a supplier to produce a new creative concept to be used within leisure marketing campaigns and activity that promote Manchester as a desirable place to visit on a seasonal basis, encouraging people to stay overnight, driving business for the city's accommodation providers in low season (January-March and June-August). The supplier will need to undertake or work with a trusted, proven partner of their own to undertake robust audience testing on the creative concept across domestic audiences, as well as within international markets. This creative concept will be used across campaigns for a minimum of two years and therefore must also have capacity to evolve. The supplier will then use the creative concept, informed by the audience testing, to create a new leisure visitor campaign film optimised for social media, with supporting photography. This film and photography will form the basis Marketing Manchester's Spring/Summer 2026 campaign, ready to roll out from May 2026. The key objectives for this proposal are: 1) To raise and reinforce positive perceptions of Manchester as a leading global city to visit and stay overnight. 2) To capture the essence of Manchester and reflect its brand values in a creative concept. 3) To fully test the concept to ensure its strength and appeal across domestic and international audiences. 4) To create a concept that can be communicated clearly and impactfully across a variety of campaign activities, media, assets, and channels. 5) To deliver a suite of film and photography assets for use in Marketing Manchester's Spring/Summer 2026 campaign.
