The panel would like to commission a quantitative research programme, consisting of an Adults and Teens survey. The adults' tracker covers several different key topic areas. The main objectives are: Concerns about content To uncover any concerns audiences have about potentially offensive, harmful or damaging content on TV. To uncover any concerns audiences have about potentially offensive content on the radio. To uncover any concerns audiences have about content on broadcast video on demand (BVoDs) and subscription video on demand (SVoDs). Regulation To understand awareness and perceptions of regulation across TV, radio, BVoD and SVoD services. Quality of content To understand perceptions of the quality of TV programmes and the reasons why audiences believe this may have changed. Advertising and commercial references To explore awareness of advertising and commercial references on TV. To explore whether audiences have any concerns about advertising on TV. The main objectives of the teens tracker are: To uncover any concerns teens have about potentially harmful or inappropriate content on TV and on-demand services. To understand awareness of regulation TV and on-demand and whether teens feel the current levels of regulation are appropriate. In 2026 we anticipate keeping core areas of the questionnaires largely the same but revisiting certain areas with the implementation of the Media Act.
