Trent & Dove Housing is seeking to engage with the market to gather insight and feedback ahead of a planned procurement for the delivery of fire door entry surveys, maintenance, and installation works across its housing stock. The purpose of this engagement is to understand current market capacity, innovations, challenges, and opportunities in delivering fire door compliance services, helping Trent & Dove shape an informed and commercially realistic procurement approach. The scope of works will cover: Inspection and surveying of existing fire doors in domestic and communal areas, in accordance with the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 (Regulation 10) and BS 8214. Minor and major remedial works to existing fire doors and frames to maintain compliance with statutory requirements and building safety standards. Full replacement and installation of new, fully certified fire door sets (including frames, ironmongery, and signage) to FIRAS/BM TRADA standards where repair is not feasible. Collection, verification, and upload of compliance data and photographic evidence into Trent & Dove’s digital compliance management system (C365). Coordination of access to occupied properties, resident communication, and adherence to safe working practices. Delivery of works in line with Trent & Dove’s health and safety, safeguarding, and social value objectives. This PME aims to identify: Key market challenges and delivery constraints; Innovative approaches or technologies that improve efficiency, quality, and resident experience; Opportunities to support local employment and sustainability through social value commitments. All feedback received will inform the future specification, performance measures, and approach to market.
