WCC Weather forecasting services for winter maintenance

Award outcome

Description

The winter service requires a weather forecaster in place to monitor weather conditions and advise on forecast to allow WCC winter decision makers to make an informed decision on winter actions. The weather forecaster produces reports based on multiple weather models and our local weather stations to ensure the forecast is relevant to the Warwickshire Road network. The forecaster also provides a decision board to record and send out details of the winter decision by email/text and social media.
