Until recently, Tate operated a served hot food canteen at Tate Britain and Tate Modern, serving an average of 100 meals per day at both sites, both of which have now closed. As an interim solution, Tate has invested in 2 smart fridges which enable staff to self-serve ready meals, sandwiches, salads, snacks etc from the machines which are filled 3x weekly. These smart fridges have been installed at Tate Britain and Tate Modern with a good level of take-up. Tate is seeking a provider to build on this interim offer into a more established self-serve model across its 5 sites. We are looking for a collaborative supplier to develop an onsite food offer in multiple different staff areas, so our colleagues can enjoy a wide ranging, nutritious and affordable product range at their convenience, 7 days a week. Each site has different dimensions and considerations; we are therefore looking for a proactive and creative operator to tailor and deliver the best service model for each space without compromising access or quality of product. These spaces need to contribute to a positive workplace culture, and we see the onsite food offer as a key element. We particularly welcome creative and innovative proposals that take new approaches to onsite food provision that could support Tate's sustainability goals and create an enhanced user experience for our staff. Underpinning the food offer will be an efficient, communicative and responsive operation, led by the supplier, that will resolve issues independently and proactively, without burdening Tate's wider operations and estate.
