Design and build (minor works) projects, covering potable and waste water, including new works and / or the refurbishment, replacement, and maintenance of existing assets including cyclical maintenance programmes.
a) Potable water non-infrastructure scope includes, but is not limited to; i. Refurbishment, replacement and provision of new potable ground and surface water production assets such as enhanced slow sand filter performance, ii. Disinfection, surge protection, chemical dosing, pumping systems and supervisory control, iii. Run-to-waste facilities, cartridge filters and UV, iv. Increased power resilience, v. New service reservoirs and inspection and maintenance of existing service and storage reservoirs. b) Wastewater non-infrastructure scope includes, but is not limited to; i. Refurbishment, replacement and provision of new inlet screens, ii. MCC (Motor Control Centre) replacement and associated DNO (Distribution Network Operator) works, iii. Stormwater storage, iv. Event duration monitors, v. Settlement tanks, vi. Modular treatment equipment, vii. Digester roof replacement, viii. Chemical dosing, ix. Phosphorous removal, x. Odour control and increased power resilience.
a) Potable water infrastructure scope includes, but is not limited to; i. Distribution mains and lead communications pipe replacement, ii. Pressure management activities, iii. Inspection and maintenance of aqueducts, bridges and tunnels, iv. Reservoir maintenance and upgrades. b) Wastewater infrastructure programme includes, but is not limited to; i. New rising mains and their replacement, ii. Refurbishment of stormwater management systems (inc. Tanks, overflow channels, outlets etc), iii. Gravity solutions to maintain asset health and accommodate growth together with pipe bridge inspections, iv. Sustainable urban drainage (suds) and the need to respond effectively to emergency works that are generally pipeline related, v. Sewage pumping station refurbishments, enhanced power resilience, switchgear and transformer replacement
