SCOPE The Home Office is exploring the potential procurement of a National Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Service Application (the ‘NAS Application’) and Associated Services. ANPR is a vital law enforcement capability used to detect and disrupt criminal activity, protect vulnerable individuals, and support national security efforts. The required NAS Application solution and Associated Services is expected to include: • Live-time alerting and control room deployment • Search and reporting capabilities • Data preservation and audit functionality • Integration with external systems • Integration with the Home Office Data Service ( the ‘National Strategic ANPR Platform or NSAP’) • Support and system integration services • An intuitive, flexible and robust permissions framework Around 100 Million ANPR reads a day are sent to the NAS providing vehicle journey search, alerting and evidential export functionality to Police & Law Enforcement across England, Wales, and Scotland. The future NAS Application must be capable of managing high-volume, high-demand operations while ensuring data security and privacy. ***The Home Office wishes to conduct preliminary market engagement with potential suppliers who have relevant products and services aligned to the outline scope described above.*** OUT OF SCOPE • Police and Law Enforcement Agency owned ANPR cameras, communications links, Management servers, firewalls and other related supporting components. • Back Office Functions (BOFs) ANPR systems within Police Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies.
