Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Authority are publishing this Preliminary Market Engagement Notice on behalf of ourselves, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service to notify suppliers of our intentions to update and re-tender the current Business Fire Safety Training contract. Details of the new contract will be contained in the tender documentation, with the tender advertised in November 2025 following the engagement event. The three Fire and Rescue Services in Wales are looking to purchase a range of Skills for Justice accredited Business Fire Safety Courses at Levels 3, 4 and 5. Supplier must be accredited to deliver and provide certificate of these courses. It is essential that facilitators of each course hold the relevant qualifications to teach the course, and will be able to provide evidence to show maintenance of teaching competencies and updated knowledge in this subject area to reflect changes in legislation and/ or national guidance. It is expected that the training will be delivered either at the Service Provider’s venue or through virtual classroom learning and when required at a suitable Fire & Rescue Service venue / facility. Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Authority on behalf of ourselves, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, looking to put a contract in place for a 2 year period with an option to extend for a further 36 months at 12 month intervals.
