Link to the Chest:https://www.the-chest.org.uk/\\r\r \\r\r The works are located, within land owned by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). A 900mm culverted pipe is located beneath the existing Chichester Street Recycling Centre site at Rochdale. The culvert consists of two sections running from south to north conveying combined water flows from an upper catchment area in Rochdale and discharges to the River Roch. GMCA are currently working on a project to survey a section of the culvert, which would need arranging for a tanker to jet and cleanse a blocked section of the culvert, accessed from MH6. A new access road would be needed to allow the tanker to undertake the pipe maintenance. The scope of the project is as follows:\\r\r \\r\r Road Construction Works\\r\r \\r\r The scope of the works includes, but is not limited to:\\r\r \\r\r Setting up working areas\\r\r Demarcation of site boundary and provision of signage.\\r\r Traffic management of works in or affecting public highway/open areas/car parks.\\r\r Confirm line and level of existing surface water drainage system.\\r\r Survey existing manholes and propose means of connecting proposed road drainage system to existing surface water drainage system.\\r\r Undertake setting out procedures.\\r\r Carry out tree felling.\\r\r Site compaction trial.\\r\r Earthworks and grading to formation level.\\r\r Laying the geogrid combined separator as per the road detail.\\r\r Prepare subbase, base course, and surface layer.\\r\r Testing and quality control.\\r\r \\r\r Test and dispose of excavated material off site.\\r\r The Works are described in greater detail on the drawings.
