Description

SSENT is responsible for delivering complex technology and network solutions for electricity system transmission infrastructure, both offshore and onshore. This includes HVDC, FACTs, AC networks, cable systems, and offshore installations This Prior Information Notice is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers who can provide a range of Specialist Engineering services. SSENT is currently developing a formal tender for the provision of Specialist Engineering services, which it is aiming to launch within the next 2 months. The Specialist Engineering Services will be contracted under a non-committal framework(s) and will run for an initial 3-year period, with options for a further 2 x 1-year extensions (subject to agreement by SSENT) SSENT requires suppliers who have the necessary resources and technical capabilities to provide the services which are anticipated, but not limited, to include the following: Civil & Building: Expertise in civil, building, and construction works related to HVDC and FACTS devices. HVDC & FACTS: Expertise in all aspects of HVDC and FACTS devices. Cable Systems: Expertise in HV Cable Systems, covering both AC and DC technology for land and submarine applications. AC Networks: Expertise in all aspects of AC Networks. Offshore and Subsea Services: Expertise in preparing requirements and specification documents to provide technical direction and governance for the design, delivery, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning of offshore substation installations. It is anticipated these Services will be Lotted Minimum Criteria to be invited to take part in a Tender: Suppliers must return their Expression of Interest by the deadline date to be invited to take part in a pre-qualification (PQQ) process. Only suppliers that pass the PQQ criteria will be invited to take part in the Invitation to Tender (ITT). Subsequent PQQ and ITT activity will be managed via the Jaggaer Sourcing Portal.
