This procurement is for the provision of the Young People's Supported Accommodation Pathway. The Pathway will provide a range of non-registered residential accommodation and support services for young people aged 16-25-year-olds as follows: - Children Looked After aged 16-17 /those for whom the local authority has a duty to accommodate; - Care experienced 18-25; - Unaccompanied and separated children (UASC). The services will be procured in 2 phases. Phase 1 comprises of the following lots: Lot 1 - Young Parent Support Service Lot 2 - Complex Need Mental Health Service Lot 3 - Low Support Service Lot 4 - High Support Service
The service is a low support service provided for five young parents and their children. The young parents are referred to the service to give them the opportunity to live more independently and can demonstrate that they can manage themselves.
The Service will provide high-quality, cost-effective accommodation and support for young people with complex mental health needs who would benefit from being temporarily placed in specialist high needs provision, to support them to improve their mental health and prepare them to live semi- independently. This is a specialist progress service within the Young People's Accommodation Pathway.
The low support service provides a young person with the opportunity to live more independently. The aim of service is to provide a young person with the opportunity to test their ability to live independently and understanding all the responsibilities of holding a tenancy.
The High Support service will support young people already known to the Local Authority. The young people will have a range of complex needs. The function of the high support service is to provide a young person with a safe and secure environment to develop their independent living skills, engage in or continue education training or employment and develop positive relationships.
