Walking & Cycling Strategy:\r \r London Borough of Merton is seeking to commission a consultant team to produce Merton's Walking and Cycling Strategy (2025-2035, which will form a key part of the boroughs new overarching Sustainable Transport Strategy, also currently being developed. \r \r The successful consultancy team will help the borough define its vision, set objectives and provide a framework to encourage and enable walking and cycling trips in all parts of the borough. A key component of this must include a review of Merton's existing cycle route network and present a strategy and supporting delivery plan detailing how this can be transformed into a comprehensive borough-wide network of high-quality cycle routes. \r \r The strategy must identify and align with relevant national, London, and Council strategies and policies, particularly on Climate Change, Air Quality, Public Health and Planning. Particular attention should be paid to Merton's New Local Plan, adopted in November 2024, and the Council's emerging Sustainable Transport Strategy. \r
