Cobalt and NMOL staff have looked after and maintained the plant since they started working for WWS (Wolverhampton Waste Services) in Oct 2022. The direct award is necessary to allow Cobalt to complete the Balance of Plant work started by Martin Renewables Solutions Ltd. The direct award would ensure the consistency and continuity of the advice being provided and will provide the council with the specialist engineering and technical support in this very specialist field giving a robust approach to the future of the Energy from Waste plant.
