Removal, Recycling, Reprocessing, and Recovery of a Range of Recyclables

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is currently using various contractors to provide the safe removal and recycling, reprocessing and recovery of a range of recyclables from our five Household Recycling Centres located across the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough area. Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is committed to improving and minimising its impact on the environment by using environmentally friendly materials, practices and technologies where available. The Council is also committed to the Waste Hierarchy as stated in the revised Waste Framework Directive and encourages proposals from companies using practices to move the treatment of the waste up the Hierarchy. The service provision will include the following services: • Transportation and recycling, reprocessing and recovery from Household Recycling Centres • Transportation and reuse of a range of recyclables from Household Recycling Centres
