The Transport Policy & Strategy Officer will support the ongoing and future development of transport policy and strategy activities within TfWM, undertaking vital evidence-based research, working with key stakeholders and the wider WMCA. The role will lead on and support the development of TfWM's political, economic, environmental, social and technological policy and strategy base in an evidenced way using qualitative and quantitative techniques, so as to provide priorities and direction for delivery planning, programme development, delivery and operations to support WMCA's wider economic, housing, regeneration, health and environmental objectives. The Officer will need to work with colleagues across TfWM and wider WMCA partners, stakeholders and Local Authorities and building relationships with external stakeholders across the Metropolitan Area and beyond including with Midlands Connect and Government departments including DfT as appropriate to influence and support the development of transport and economic strategy.
