Ordnance Survey Ltd (OS) is Great Britain’s mapping agency and is responsible for the surveying, production, maintenance, and marketing of a wide range of geographic information, relied on by government, business and individuals. OS is a private limited company (company registration number 09121572), and the entire share capital is owned by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. With the local market being competitive for technical talent, OS works with key technical consultancy suppliers who are able to provide professional services to Ordnance Survey to enable the delivery of OS's platforms and systems. This framework contract is for the supply of consultancy resources to provide additional capacity and capability to support Ordnance Survey (OS) in the delivery of projects and services. These consultancy resources support with technological development projects within OS. These projects can include geospatial applications, data capture, customer and marketing technologies, software development, testing services, mobile application development, IT security and user experience. Under the current framework, a further competition is undertaken for each requirement to award a call-off contract. These further competitions are undertaken on either a time and materials basis for certain roles or on a milestone-based delivery model.
