The Commodities Delivery Team have a requirement to deliver commercial common spare parts direct to aircraft at military locations within the United Kingdom. The initial scope of Aircraft Commodity Consumables (ACC) will comprise of approximately 13,000 consumable aircraft spares with unique NATO Stock Numbers (NSNs) identified in Appendix 1 to this RFI. A contract mechanism shall be implemented to permit scope expansion, up to a maximum of ~15,000 NSNs. ACC spares will require the following services: a. Project and Obsolescence Management Service b. Spares Modelling Service c. Provision & delivery of Spares to Logistics, Commodities and Services Depot d. Ad hoc provision & delivery of spares direct to Front Line Commands e. Ad hoc Provision of Services and Support It is anticipated that a prime contractor solution will be the most viable option for the delivery of ACC, which could incorporate use of a lotting strategy and/or utilisation of a framework agreement for example. The expected contract duration will be 3 years with up to 4 x 1 year additional option periods. The information requested in the RFI is to inform the current procurement strategy. There is no obligation for the MoD to continue with the requirement following the outcome of this preliminary market engagement and any resulting procurement will be competed.
