Supporting development of an Agri-Tech Solution to improve precision and accuracy in the assessment of bovine tuberculosis status in cattle and other species. This proposal focusses on the development of an enhanced system for measuring inflammatory responses indirectly as change in skin thickness, which will increase measurement accuracy and reduce data transcription errors, through use of electronic technologies for data capture and data transfer, including both the utility of improved recording and transcription (e.g. via cloud-based data transfer) and changes in the recording callipers itself. This could replace traditional hand-held callipers used during Single Intradermal Cervical Comparative Test (SICCT). As well a broader scope of possible ways to augment and improve diagnostics will also be considered though no field, experimental or product development work is expected (i.e. this is a desk-based scoping exercise).
