Framework agreement

Description

NEPO is establishing an open framework for highway surfacing works. This proposed solution covers the requirements of Contracting Authorities to undertake planned maintenance programmes and unplanned surfacing works to carriageways and footways, including resurfacing and reconstruction. These works may apply to principal, non-principal and unclassified road networks and may include work away from the highway, e.g. car parks. Surfacing Works may include, but are not limited to: • thin surfaces • anti-skid surfacing • improvement schemes • response to major emergencies • support to the winter maintenance function during weather events Reactive works to the fabric of the highway may include, but are not limited to: • pothole repairs • patching • minor reinstatements • footway vehicle crossovers The works will be supplied to Contracting Authorities under call-off arrangements. The amount of the works to be supplied under this solution is dependent on the number of call-offs made during the lifetime of the framework. This preliminary market engagement notice provides advance notice to the marketplace of the tendering opportunity and NEPO's intention to undertake market consultation activities with suppliers to help shape the future framework. NEPO are not advertising this preliminary market engagement notice as a mechanism to reduce future procurement timescales.
