The Mount Batten Pontoon Replacement project involves the design and construction of a new facility located at the Mount Batten Watersports & Activities Centre on behalf of Plymouth City Council (PCC). Funding for the replacement pontoon has been secured and will be provided by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The existing pontoon has reached the end of its operational life and requires replacement. The core elements of the design and build contract will include, but are not limited to: - Bridgehead repairs with the addition of environmental enhancements like artificial reef tiles - Removal and disposal of the existing pontoon structure - Supply and installation of a new pontoon system - Piling work as required - Linkspan installation - Potential reuse of existing elements, such as piles and linkspan, where feasible The project is proposed to be governed by the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) – Option A.
